Meridian Gold GPS Traveler Value Pack
This package takes the Meridian Gold handheld receiver and includes with it a MapSend
DirectRoute software CD. The receiver is Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS) enabled
for accuracy to within three meters. A built-in 16 MB basemap supplies general
city-to-city details. And the DirectRoute software adds turn-by-turn guidance,
including voice prompts, within cities. Map data covers the 48 contiguous states and
major Canadian cities.
Other items included in this value pack:
- 64 MB Secure Digital (SD) memory card. The DirectRoute street maps are
downloaded to this card using the supplied data cable.
- PC data cable with cigarette lighter adapter. This cable can both connect your
your PC to the receiver for map downloads and also use a car's cigarette lighter as

Meridian Color GPS Traveler Value Pack
If you like the basic features of the Meridian Gold receiver, but would like
a color display, then this is the package to get. You get the same accuracy
and basemap along with a color LCD screen having adjustable contrast and
backlighting. The addition of color is more than cosmetic as it can help make the
map details of the DirectRoute software stand out more clearly.

Meridian Color GPS Mariner Value Pack
For people who prefer their traveling on water, then you should look at the Mariner Pack.
Since the waterproof Meridian Color floats, there's no problem if it gets wet or goes overboard.
Instead of the DirectRoute maps, the BlueNav marine cartography software CD is included. This software
has 83 local North American charts with details covering currents, tides, port services,
and marine navigation aids.
