BlueChart
MapSource BlueChart has three versions to cover offshore charting for the Americas,
the Atlantic, and the Pacific. Garmin offers the data on CDs or memory cards. These
electronic charts mimic the paper kind with depth contour and intertidal zone
shading, spot soundings, and navigation aids. They also show wrecks, restricted
areas, anchorages, and port plans. The named and numbered charts include their scale, revision
date, and the latest Notice to Mariners date. BlueCharts will work with these Garmin models:
GPSMAP 162, GPSMAP 168 Sounder, GPSMAP 172C, GPSMAP 176, GPSMAP 178C Sounder,
GPSMAP 182/182C, GPSMAP 188/188C Sounder, GPSMAP 196, GPSMAP 2006/2006C,
GPSMAP 2010/2010C, GPSMAP 232, GPSMAP 238 Sounder, GPSMAP 276C, GPSMAP 296,
GPSMAP 3006C/3010C, GPSMAP 60C, GPSMAP 60CS, GPSMAP 76C, GPSMAP 76CS,
iQue 3200, iQue 3600, Quest. And with some feature limitations for: cf Que 1620,
eTrex Legend, eTrex LegendC, eTrex Vista, eTrex VistaC, GPS V, GPSMAP 76,
GPSMAP 76S, GPSMAP 96, GPSMAP 96C, Rino 120, Rino 130.
BlueChart Bathymetric Charts
Garmin's bathymetric charts come on a CD or memory card with coverage for the
Americas. The charts are designed especially for offshore fishing and should
used along with regular BlueCharts or other marine charts for complete
navigation. Along with depth contours, Bathymetric information includes
spot soundings, canyon names, wrecks, and obstructions. These charts
can be used with the same Garmin models as the regular BlueCharts with the
same feature limitations for the basic GPS units.
U.S. Recreational Lakes with Fishing Hot Spots
These recreational maps cover the East, West, and Central regions of the U.S.
on separate CDs.Garmin also has the Fishing Hot Spots maps alone, on memory cards for
each of the three regions. The software is suitable for the: cf Que 1620,
GPS V, GPSMAP 172C, GPSMAP 176, GPSMAP 178C Sounder, GPSMAP 182/182C,
GPSMAP 188/188C Sounder, GPSMAP 196, GPSMAP 2006/2006C, GPSMAP 2010/2010C,
GPSMAP 232, GPSMAP 238 Sounder, GPSMAP 276C, GPSMAP 296, GPSMAP 3006C/3010C,
GPSMAP 60C, GPSMAP 60CS, GPSMAP 76C, GPSMAP 76CS, GPSMAP 96, GPSMAP 96C,
iQue 3200, iQue 3600, and the Quest. With some function limitations it also
works with the: eMap, eTrex Legend, eTrex LegendC, eTrex Vista, eTrex VistaC,
GPSMAP 162, GPSMAP 168 Sounder, GPSMAP 76, GPSMAP 76S, Rino 120, and the
Rino 130. Lake map features vary, but may include campgrounds, detailed shoreline,
depth contours, hazards, fuel mile markers, boat ramps, and marinas. Highways,
country roads, and general road and lake data are also shown. Fishing Hot Spots
maps may include boating lanes, bottom consistency, rock piles, standing timber,
submerged objects, creek channels, and fishing tips, both general and seasonal.
Minnesota LakeMaster ProMap
Highly-detailed maps are available on CD or memory cards for popular Minnesota
fishing lakes. The maps show underwater structure definition with three-foot
contours. Features include access points, bays, reefs, islands, and marinas.
Garmin models that can use these maps are the: cf Que 1620, GPSMAP 162,
GPSMAP 168 Sounder, GPSMAP 172C, GPSMAP 176, GPSMAP 178C Sounder,
GPSMAP 188/188C Sounder, GPSMAP 196, GPSMAP 2006/2006C, GPSMAP 2010/2010C,

Models with reduced mapping features are the: eTrex Legend, eTrex LegendC,
eTrex Vista, eTrex VistaC, and the GPS V.
Inland G-Charts
Details for the lakes and reservoirs of the 48 contiguous United States are
covered with the Inland G-Charts. They come on cartridges for models: GPSMAP 130,
135, GPSMAP 175, GPSMAP 180, GPSMAP185, GPSMAP 210, GPSMAP 215, GPSMAP 215,
GPSMAP 220, GPSMAP 225, GPSMAP 230, and GPSMAP 235. Each cartridge may cover
part of a state or up to several small states. Accuracy of the
maps is to within 160 feet and the roads and highways in the area are also
shown. Water features include campgrounds, marinas, boat ramps, dams,
mile markers and other shoreline details. The water bodies, as well as cities
